According to Polish Cental Statistical Office (CSO) there are over 13 thousand active and registered dental doctors who work in about 22 thousand dental surgeries, however the estimated positions in Poland for dental doctors are 36 thousand.
The total number of dental doctors who have right to practice the profession is 36 196 ( from 31st December, 2008). CSO reports that about 21% of all dental doctors have specialisation and the most of them have specialisation in dental prosthetics, orthodontics and oral surgery.
