Spending on private medical services have achieved the growth 13-22% last 3 years.According to PricewaterhouseCoopers only on dental surgeries and basic medical servicewill be spent in 2009 about 7 thousand million PLN. In 2005 it was 3 thousand million PLN.The sector of dental services and medical tests is almost in private hands.
According toPBS DGA over 50% of Polish people take care of their teeth in private dental surgeriesand clinics. “Overview of Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices Industry in Central andEastern Europe” informs that between 2009 and 2012 the medical market’s increase isgoing to grow in average more than 6 % (medical devices industry- 7.4%). The survey byPolish Information and Foregin Investment Agency I shows that in 2008 foregin patients(dental tourists) spent on dental treatments in Poland 400 thousand million PLN. Theforecast says that this sector will grow to about 25-30% a year.
